2024 has been a year of extreme highs and extreme lows for many of us, but it has therefore also been a year of incredible growth. As we near the end of this year, let’s take a look back, and reflect on what we have learned, so that we can carry this knowledge into 2025.
1. Things come to an end, and that’s okay.
2. Your intuition is smarter than you think.
3. You can’t fill someone else’s cup if yours is empty.
4. I don’t chase, I attract.
5. This, too, shall pass.
Things come to an end, and that’s okay.
Acceptance is the key to moving forward. New chapters of your life cannot possibly begin if you are holding onto your past: now is the time to close that book, start fresh, turn over a new page and begin again. We do not need to mourn the closure of one chapter in order to begin a new one, instead we must learn that life is a series of beginnings and endings, and each ending represents a new opportunity for change. You get to decide for yourself what this new chapter will bring.
Your intuition is smarter than you think.
There is a reason your stomach drops when you see certain people, or places, a reason that your mind feels funny: your body can tell when energies are not right for you. Trust your intuition, and trust that it will guide you to where you need to be, not only where you want to be. The reason may not be clear right now, but it will become clear in time. Trust yourself.
You can’t fill someone else’s cup if yours is empty.
I know. The desire to give to those around us is strong; we yearn to provide, to share, and to uplift our loved ones, but do not forget to take care of yourself. You cannot truly be present and support others if you don’t first look after your own needs. Take time out of your day to care for your body, mind and spirit. After all, the only person guaranteed to be by your side every single day, is you.
I don’t chase, I attract.
Affirmations, manifestation, wishful thinking – call it what you will, but know that scientific research has proven that the more you visualise your goals, the more you embed positive thinking into your daily life, the more likely you are to achieve your dreams. This year, prioritise your goals. Build your dream. Ask yourself: what does my ideal life look like, one year from now, one month from now? Move with intention, and watch, as everything you dream of falls into place.
This, too, shall pass.
This is perhaps the most important lesson we can learn in life. This, too, shall pass. No matter the storms life throws at us, look at how far we have come. Every challenge, every torment, every time you thought you couldn’t possibly get back up and try again, you did. The fact that you are still standing today shows an incredible strength, a strength nobody can take away from you. All the experiences you have overcome have made you more capable to face whatever comes next. If this year feels a lot, let it. Allow this to happen, and then allow it to pass.
If 2024 was the year to dream, 2025 is the year your dreams come alive. Embrace newfound energy, and channel your passion into goodness. Enrich your life, and watch, as life enriches you in return.
Best wishes, and a Happy New Year,
